Fully Funded Higher Diploma in Computing for Teachers

The demand for qualified teachers tto deliver the Leaving Certificate Computer Science (LCCS) curriculum is growing rapidly, to meet this need, TU Dublin launches the Higher Diploma in Science in Computing, a Department of Education-funded program designed to equip educators with the expertise required to confidently teach LCCS.
This innovative diploma offers a recognized pathway to Teaching Council registration in Computer Science, making it ideal for teachers currently delivering LCCS or those looking to pivot into this dynamic field. This program has been developed by TU Dublin’s School of Enterprise Computing & Digital Transformation and CSinc.
The course draws on TU Dublin’s acclaimed graduate conversion program—successfully running for over 15 years—and provides hands-on, impactful training tailored to the classroom. Educators will gain essential skills in programming, data analytics, systems design, and more, all focused on real-world applications.
